Dumping asbestos is illegal and carries significant penalties. If you find dumped asbestos or suspect someone is dumping it, here’s what to do.
What do you need help with?
I’ve found asbestos dumped in a public area
Don’t touch or disturb the material.
Report it to your local council
I suspect a business is dumping asbestos illegally
I’m hiring someone to remove my asbestos waste
Some offenders pose as legitimate waste transport businesses. Always ask for a Waste Tracker record. This proves waste was taken to a lawful disposal facility. This record can help protect you if the waste is not disposed of lawfully.
